Spread Through the Whole Country — Anemia Information Network Management Program for Hemodialysis Patients
Anemia is a common complication of maintenance hemodialysis patients, and the effective anemia detection and treatment on hemodialysis patients can perfect the prognosis of dialysis, improve the life quality of patients and reduce the risk of cardiovascular death. However,due to limited energy and the absence of effective management tool, clinician always fail to make standardization diagnosis and treatment on hemoglobin indicators of hemodialysis patients.
In April 2015, 3SBio launched the “Spread Through the Whole Country” — Anemia Information Network Management Program for Hemodialysis Patients, which was able to assist doctors of dialysis center in dynamically managing and monitoring the anemia status of hemodialysis patient, thus promoting the target rate of hemoglobin for patients. Third party was entrusted by the Group to develop data platform for the program, and the workers in the Group were responsible for logging data and regularly reporting anemia management report to each centers. By the end of 2016, the program has included more than 290 dialysis centers covering over 30,000 patients. Through the data analysis, it was found that the detection rate of effective hemoglobin enrolled in centre database was less than 50%,and the target rate of hemoglobin level for tested patients was only 60%.
In the future, the program plans to incorporate more dialysis centers and improve the integrity and quality of recorded data, hoping to preferably assist clinicians in effectively managing the anemia status of patients and make timely and effective treatment available to patients.
